Flesh and Bones

I am young and trying to enjoy every second of my youthful flesh and bones. Words are beautiful, and putting them together has become a way of life for me. I aspire to be a novelist and poet remembered in time. This is my blog, my place to share my words and pictures of things that inspire me, but do not necessarily define me.

Burn Out

A train derailed, coasting on open terrain. A life you never imagined, would be lived in my delicate frame. You designed my inner structure, a map far too intricate. I never followed your guidelines, I didn’t match the sketch. Maybe you’re not the molding type, a sculptor with uneasy hands. Maybe I’m a journey with no compass, shipwrecked in the sand. You planned forever, my existence, and how it would unfold. I demolished your visions in seconds, a slithering flame meets the cold. A snake in my mind keeps me closer to the fire, maybe in another life, I will fit what you’ve desired. Ash the thought of me away like the tip of your cigar, and with the smoke I’ll travel, to a dying, burnt out star.
